Our efficient teams of receptionists
are led by Mrs Mary Mitchell at Bedwell Medical
Centre and Roebuck Surgery.
The receptionists have a difficult job to do and are
here to help you. Please remember that if you are kept
waiting or are asked some apparently irritating
questions it is because our policy is aimed at the
smooth and safe running of the practice. We do need to
ascertain the urgency of particular requests and
sometimes spend longer with patients than we have
allowed.

District nurses are attached to the practice and are for
the nursing needs of patients at home.
If you feel you need this service,

Health visitors are available for help
and advice on many aspects of health care, including
care of expectant mothers, infants, the elderly and the
handicapped. The health visitors are attached to the
practice and have an office at Southgate House.

Community midwives offer advice to patients on all
aspects of antenatal and postnatal care. Clinics are run
at the surgery, one day a week.
